Welcome: Letter from the Chair

Hello and welcome to the Fall 2023 newsletter!

We are looking forward to an exciting year for MasonCOMM! I am absolutely thrilled to have joined this vibrant department, and am honored to serve as our new department chair. I am grateful to Dr. Anne Nicotera and colleagues for having led the department through a period of growth and success, and to all of the students who make it thrive. The dedicated and talented members of this incredible community demonstrate the vital importance of Communication through their teaching, research, service, and professional work. I am eager to collaborate with all of you to continue to build upon the department’s many strengths and accomplishments. I invite your ideas and see a very bright future for MasonCOMM!

Congratulations to those who graduated in May and August 2023, and to those looking forward to graduating in December 2023! Welcome to our MasonCOMM alumni community! We hope that your connection with us will be lifelong.

Come visit us on campus, participate in upcoming events, and like and follow MasonCOMM to stay updated. We also want to know what you’re up to, so send us your news and let us know if we can help in your professional journey.

Wishing you all the best,

Kim Meltzer
