Organizational, Intercultural, & Interpersonal Communications with a focus on Gender, BIPOC and other under-represented populations.

Marta has spent the past 30 years working in higher education - on campuses like Duke and Georgetown, and most recently as Senior Vice President at NACUBO - a national higher education association focused on finance, business and administration at US colleges and universities.

Marta's career focused on professional development and educational resources. She is passionate about education, leadership training, succession planning; and advancing financial literacy, diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education, at all institution types (research, comprehensive, liberal arts, community colleges) as well as all levels within an institution (faculty, staff, students and alumni).

Two years ago, Marta decided to pursue her lifelong dream of obtaining a PhD in Communication Studies and enrolled at George Mason University. She is also obtaining a graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies.
