Professor Tomasovic is a Term Instructor for the Communication Department at Mason. She received her B.S. from the College of Education, University of Missouri-Columbia, with a major in Communication & Theater Arts and a minor in Physiology. She received a post-graduate certificate from drama school in London, now the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, University of London, and received her MA at George Mason University in Communication / Political & Media Criticism.

At Mason, Professor Tomasovic is the Communication Department Internship Coordinator and teaches the Internship course, Business and Professional Communication (course coordinator), Video Performance & Writing, Performance for Communication Arts, Interviewing, and Facilitating Communication Education, a course that assists in developing undergraduate teaching assistants. She is an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer and teaches the swim courses (RECR), for the College of Education and Human Development. While teaching for Mason, Professor Tomasovic published, Oral Interpretation Workbook.

Professor Tomasovic has served GMU in a variety of positions. She currently serves as a career influencer for the Mason Career Influencers Network, serves on the Comm Department Insight Committee, volunteers as a Mason Speaker to provide guest presentations to external community organizations and businesses, and mentors BIS students. She formerly served in the Mason Faculty Senate - Admissions Committee, formerly directed the Communication minor, and has served as a member and chaired many Comm Department committees.

Professional memberships include the National Communication Association (Legislative Assembly, National States Advisory Council), Virginia Association of Communication Arts and Sciences (Immediate Past President), and the Screen Actor's Guild / American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. She has received many awards and honors such as National Faculty Advisor of the Year, Lambda Pi Eta, The National Communication Honor Society, the GMU Inspiring Professor Award, and GMU Faculty Advisor of the Year Award for GMU student clubs and organizations.

Some of her former jobs include working for Disney as an on-location production assistant, working in radio and television, working for American Forces Network-Europe, and in film for Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, and the Kentucky Film Commission. 

Professor Tomasovic is dedicated to student success and integrating the emerging A.I. into course curriculum.
