Climate change communication, environmental journalism, and health communication

Syed Muhammad Abubakar is an international award-winning environmental journalist and a 2018-19 Chevening Alumni. He has been writing on environmental causes for almost a decade and his bylines have appeared in D+C, Reuters, Dialogue Earth, Dawn, The News International, and Express Tribune, among others.

Abubakar has also served with various environmental organizations as a communications expert, including IFRC, WWF, ICIMOD, and LEAD.

Abubakar is a citizen of Pakistan.

  • Media content analysis of social media posts related to the 2025 GLOF event in Ghizer district, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan
