Md Alavi Akbar Shihab is an Honors Bachelor's student majoring in Integrative Studies with a concentration in International Studies. Alavi is a national debater for the George Mason Policy Debate Team, and as a Debater he has researched topics of Nuclear policy, Climate policy, and personhood. Alavi has contributed to the research of the Migrants Right Database, a database for immigration law, under Dr. Justin E. Gest. Alavi was born and brought up in Bangladesh. Through this experience he presents extensive knowledge on the geopolitics and cultures pertaining to South Asia.
