Mary C. Hickey is a journalist with more than four decades of experience in print, broadcast and digital media. She began her career as a reporter for the Miami Herald, followed by a stint as a producer at NBC News. She was an executive-level editor for mass-market magazines in New York City, including Glamour, Ladies Home Journal and Parents. Most recently, she was editor-in-chief at AARP Media, overseeing content for all consumer-facing platforms. She also taught journalism as an adjunct New York University for nine years, and has contributed freelance articles to dozens of national publications.
