Mohamed Ahmed (Moe) is a Finance and Operations Manager who thrives at the intersection of strategy, problem-solving, and people. With more than a decade at George Mason University’s Center for Climate Change Communication (Mason 4C), he has built a track record of keeping complex projects and budgets on track while supporting faculty, staff, and community partners. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP)®, Moe’s experience spans operations, finance, HR, and research support—all focused on making big ideas run smoothly in real-world practice.

Moe is passionate about building systems that reduce the research-to-practice gap, increase efficiency, and help teams do their best work. He’s often the person connecting dots between budgets, people, and processes to make sure everything lines up toward impact.

He holds a B.A. in Environmental and Sustainability Studies with a minor in Environmental Economics, and an M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy—both from George Mason University. He’s currently pursuing studies in Geoinformatics and Geospatial Intelligence, tying together his interests in climate change, environmental science, and human geography.
