Media Representation, Media Consumption, Media Criticism, Cultural Studies, and Animation. 

Khaled Dakak is a Ph.D. student and Graduate Lecturer in the Department of Communication at George Mason University.

He earned a Master of Arts in Communication (Media and Culture) and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication (Media Production and Criticism) and English (Film and Media Studies) from George Mason University. He also has a minor in Animation and specializes in animated media studies. 

For the past three years, he has taught in both the Communication Department and the Film and Video Studies Department. Previously, he served as a Learning Assistant (LA) in the Geography and Geoinformation Science Department and worked as both a College Writing Instructor and an English teacher at a private learning institution.

He has also worked as a Program Assistant and Communications Coordinator for the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) at USAID where he helped in developing and coordinating internal communications strategies to promote the reach of relevant subject information to broader audiences. 

His research interests include media representation, media consumption, media criticism, cultural studies, and animated media studies.
