Julia Fine, Ph.D. is a Research Assistant Professor at the Center for Climate Change Communication at George Mason University. Her recent research focuses on encouraging collective climate action, communicating about the health harms of climate change, and identifying strategies for climate-health policy integration. Her past research has examined the connections between Indigenous language reclamation and climate justice, explored U.S. climate activists’ experiences with interpersonal climate conversations, and analyzed climate conversations between activists and their friends and family. She received her PhD in Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
