Jessica Hubbard
Jessica Hubbard is the Social Media Strategist for Science Magazine. She received her Master's in Science Communication from George Mason University and earned her Bachelor's in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University. Before joining Science, she had numerous experiences in science communication, interning for organizations such as the Virginia Museum of Natural History, the Northeast Regional Climate Center, the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, and the Virginia Sea Grant. While at George Mason, she received the 2017 Joe Witte Special Recognition in Science Communication Leadership Award.
In her current role, Jessica develops new ways to communicate and share research, news, and commentary from the Science family of journals with more than 16 million followers across 14 social media profiles. Her work has been recognized by the Society for Scholarly Publishing, which honored Science’s Instagram page with a Gold Award for Social Presence at the 2025 EPIC Awards. She is passionate about connecting scientists with content—wherever they engage on social media.
