What was the most impactful class you took in your major?

Comm401: Interpersonal Communication in the Workplace was my most impactful class. I took it in Spring 2024 and the information that I gained in the class gave me great insight for how to handle myself and others in workplace scenarios. Professor Tucker made the class enjoyable and easy to understand. The information, how it was given, and the hands-on activities really got me involved and helped me understand the material.

What activities were you involved in during your time at George Mason that impacted you?

I was involved with the Undergraduate Teaching Assistant program. It was something that I thoroughly enjoyed at George Mason. I assisted Professor Tucker with COMM 401 and it helped me gain important skills and confidence for future jobs.

What is your most memorable moment at George Mason inside or outside of the classroom?

Some of my most memorable moments at Mason happened within the classroom. In COMM 401 I had a group project that consisted of six team members. We made many memories as we worked on the group project and still stay in contact. Another memory was having a picnic near the pond with three classmates after class. It was enjoyable to bask in the beautiful atmosphere.

As you are reflecting on your time at George Mason, what is one piece of advice you would give a student who is just starting off on their George Mason journey?

I would advise you to not be afraid to make friends. I unintentionally made two very close friends in my first semester, and they changed my experience for the better.

What is your next step after graduation? What are your future plans?

I have plans to move after graduation to Canada and work in a collaborative work environment. I will of course keep in contact with those I’ve met at George Mason as I take all the lessons I’ve learned with me.
