(Summer 2016)
Section Information for Summer 2016
This course is ordinarily restricted to students in Communication majors and minors. In summer, we will allow all Mason students to take the course. Come and see what communication theory is all about, and earn 3 credits!
This online class is perfect for someone with a nonstandard schedule. The course has weekly deadlines but the work can be done on the student's own schedule. Through writing exercises, papers, quizzes, and short lectures, you will learn how social scientists study the fascinating process of human communication.
Did you ever think about how complicated it is to get your meaning across? Why someone acts the way they do? Why some personal relationships work but others don't? What about the video games & violence…is there any relationship?
How do we even begin to figure it all out? Theory. If you are curious about how human beings connect with each other and create our world through interaction, COMM 200 is the perfect class! In this class, you will discover and discuss how theory is defined, how communication theories are created, and how to apply communication theory to understand and improve your life and the world around you.
COMM 200 A01 is a distance education section.
