#MasonCOMM is proud to announce that Melissa Broeckelman-Post has received the prestigious Melissa Beall Award for 2021 with her co-presenters from Ohio University, Utah Valley University, Illinois State University, and South Dakota State University.
This award is named after distinguished scholar, Melissa Beall, and is presented to the contributors to the Top Panel submitted each year to the Basic Course Interest Group at Central States Communication Association. This panel, titled “Finding Inspiration Amidst the Chaos: Advancing Scholarship in the Introductory Communication Course” will be presented virtually Thursday, March 25, 11:00-12:15, CDT.
Broeckelman-Post stated,
I appreciate Dr. Beall's support of this award and her recognition of the value of panel discussions that bring top scholars together in conversation about the big issues that are facing us at this very moment. I am looking forward to a rich, productive conversation with my colleagues on Thursday!
