This is an asynchronous course designed to give the experienced broadcaster more opportunities to develop the craft of live on-air work in radio. The student also develops skill in producing podcasts (technical and interviewing).

Pre-requisite: COMM 148 or previous on-air experience at WGMU or a professional broadcast radio station. 

COMM 381 DL1 is an online asynchronous section.

Intensive practical application of previously acquired on-air show hosting skills at student internet radio station WGMU. Skill development in podcast production and interviewing is included. New technologies such as social media, computer automation systems and advanced production software are integrated throughout the curriculum to prepare students to engage in the most current applications for commercial and internet radio and podcasting. Offered by Communication. May be repeated within the degree for a maximum 3 credits.
Recommended Prerequisite: COMM 148, or permission of instructor.
