Judges Sought for Mason Forensics Tournament

by Parker Roth and Alekhya Tallapaka

The George Mason Forensics team is now seeking judges for the 2016 Virginia is for Lovers Forensics tournament. Forensics is public speaking and oral interpretation of literature, with events designed to focus on each of the ways the spoken word can be used to persuade or move an audience. Judges are not required to have prior experience in Forensics as we are seeking individuals who are interested in hearing some of the most revolutionary and innovative performances on the most contemporary literature and events.

The tournament runs October 1-2. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude around 6:15 p.m. each evening. The payment is $70 per day or $10 per round. Judges should arrive at the Robinson Hall B lobby facing the Mason Pond Parking Deck no later than 8:30 a.m. to pick up their first round ballot.

The George Mason Forensics team is very appreciative of the support the GMU community offers and hopes to see everyone at the Virginia is for Lovers tournament.
