Professor Steven Klein Named Instructor Emeritus in Communication Department

RESOLVED, by the Rector and Visitors of George Mason University that Steven Klein is hereby granted the status of Instructor Emeritus of Communication in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, effective February 5, 2014.

 

Prof. Klein is the sixth Communication Department faculty member to be granted Emeritus status, joining Sarah Looney, Bruce Manchester, Anita Taylor, William McAuley, and Sheryl Friedley.

Prof. Klein said, “I am proud of the work and collaboration many of us provided to grow the Journalism concentration over my 14 years in the Communication Department at George Mason University. But I am most proud of the students we helped educate and nurture and their many accomplishments and successes. I couldn’t be more pleased to remain connected to the department as the Journalism program continues to grow and mature with Beth Jannery, Anne Nicotera, Tim Gibson, Rodger Smith and David Miller’s direction and leadership.”
