The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Mike Foss, BA Communication '11, with the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award in communication.
Foss is executive vice president, executive editor, sports news and entertainment at ESPN. He oversees ESPN’s sports news operation, including investigative and enterprise journalism, research, digital editorial, the creative content unit and studio enhancement team.
He also leads ESPN’s daily studio portfolio, including SportsCenter, First Take, Get Up, Pardon The Interruption, ESPN Audio and Podcasts, digital production, original studio programming on Disney+, and collaboration with The Pat McAfee Show.
