Madison is a junior communication major with a double concentration in journalism and media production. She is one of four Spring 2026 interns at FOX 5 DC located in Bethesda, Maryland. FOX 5 has repeatedly won several Emmys for many years. Her direct supervisor is the director of human resources. Madison is assigned many tasks and projects which helps her develop a deep knowledge of the news industry. Some of the tasks include:
• shadowing reporters out in the field,
• recording personal demos,
• writing and publishing articles, and
• taking calls at the assignment desk.
The internship opportunity assists Madison to focus on completing these tasks while learning about the news industry, and assists her in establishing a career and ensuring work after graduation.
