Allyson Bautista, a senior earning a BA Degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Aviation Management, is graduating this Fall 2025 semester.
Here's what she shared about her time as a COMM major at George Mason University:
"During my undergraduate at Mason, I gained valuable insight into public relations and communications while learning the importance of embracing every opportunity. My favorite classes, Public Relations Campaigns, Writing for PR, and Diplomacy, helped me develop key skills for crafting messages, building relationships, and understanding global perspectives. Joining PRSSA was a pivotal moment in my undergrad that opened countless doors, from leading recruitment initiatives to coordinating professional events. These experiences, combined with guidance from faculty and connections made throughout the COMM Department, helped me develop the skills and confidence needed to pursue a career in communications. My time at George Mason has been vital in preparing me for my future career, and I am excited to see what is next!”.
Allyson plans on seeking full-time roles in the public relations and aviation industry while aiming to get a higher pilot’s license certification.
Congratulations Allyson! The Department of Communication is extremely proud of you and can't wait to see what you do next!
