Fall 2025 Communication Intern of the Week: Regan Keefer

Regan Keefer is a junior Communication major, with a concentration in Public Relations. She is a Fall 2025 intern with Media Research Center (MRC), located in Herndon, Virginia. The president of the non-profit organization is David Bozell, son of the previous president and founder Brent Bozell III. The main mission of MRC is to monitor breaking news stories from major media outlets and combat the misinformation being published, informing others of what is truly happening in our country. The organization is the parent company of three MRC projects: MRC NewsBusters, MRCTV, and MRC FreeSpeechAmerica. Regan’s direct supervisor is the MRC Marketing Manager. Some of her internship tasks include:

·      schedule social media posts for Instagram, X, and Facebook,

·      document social media analytics, such as views, impressions, and engagements,

·      create reels with Adobe Premiere Pro to be published on Instagram and Facebook, and

·      monitor breaking news stories and select video clips to publish on social media.

With each responsibility, Regan better understands marketing, the MRC team, and how they want to improve and enhance their social media following, while informing and educating its followers about bias possibilities in mainstream media.  This internship experience and learning new skills will greatly assist her transition into a full-time communication career following graduation.
