Mason Communication senior concentrating in Journalism, Brandyn Fragosa, is graduating this Fall 2024 semester with a BA Degree in Communication. Here's what he said about his time as a COMM major at George Mason University:
"During my undergraduate at Mason, I gained valuable insight into journalism, while learning the importance of seizing every opportunity given! As I aimed for a career in broadcast journalism, joining Student Media was a pivotal moment in my undergrad that opened countless doors. I began my journey as a staff writer for the Fourth Estate, then became an anchor for the Mason Cable Network. The experience I gained from both organizations led to more exciting opportunities, which include attending journalism conferences and making TV appearances! However, these opportunities wouldn’t have been possible without the connections I made with professors and faculty in the COMM Department, who helped me navigate the industry and seize opportunities I never knew existed. My time at George Mason has been vital in preparing me for my future career, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!"
