Mason Communication Alumna, Kaylyn Barnhart (BA Communication 2024), has recently accepted a position as an Editor for the website of the Stars and Stripes newspaper. Kaylyn said to Professor Brenna Maloney (Journalism Concentration Coordinator), "Yesterday, I was offered the federal position with the Stars and Stripes newspaper in D.C. as an editor for their website - with opportunity to do some original reporting on military affairs in D.C. This is a dream opportunity for me. Ever since I was a young girl getting into journalism, I always said I wanted to work for Stars and Stripes. I wanted to extend my gratitude to you for your support, teachings, and mentorship. I am so excited to begin and finally call myself a working journalist! Thank you for everything.".
