We have an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students! The GMU PRSSA chapter is now accepting applications for their 2023-2024 e-board. This is the perfect chance for students to build valuable skills, network with real communication professionals and add experience to their resumes.
Open positions include:
President
- Plan and lead outreach for potential speakers.
- Serve as liaison between the PRSSA advisor, the Communication Department and Career Services.
- Direct overall chapter operations.
Vice President
- Perform presidential duties if the President is absent or unable to perform them.
- Handle communications with guest speakers to arrange and confirm meetings.
- Help the President coordinate and direct committee activities and chapter operations.
Social Media Liaison
- Produce or oversee the chapter website.
- Create graphics and a social media schedule for social media.
- Photograph all meetings and events.
Treasurer
- Manage chapter funds.
- Collect and manage membership dues.
- Collect membership applications and share that information with the Secretary.
Secretary
- Create and send newsletters to the PRSSA listserv.
- Plan classroom visits at the start of each semester.
- Keep chapter documents organized.
