Advancing Journalism at George Mason University

At a time when traditional journalism has come and gone, George Mason University students have an opportunity to create the future of content and storytelling. At Mason we are advancing our Journalism advising in innovative ways to include branding, digital content, digital marketing, start-up growth, content and DEIA business and reporting incubators. Beth Jannery, rejoined the Department of Communication this year and is reinvigorating what it means to study journalism at Mason.

What follows is a snapshot of Communication Cases highlighting the work the Journalism program is engaged in: 2022 -2024. We believe in advancing student development and faculty professional development inside and outside of the classroom. We are looking at ways to bridge the classroom and the workplace with innovative ideas.
