Joey Fuentes graduated from George Mason University (GMU) in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication, concentration in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. He is a member of Tau Sigma National Honor Society. While at GMU he attended the study abroad program in Milan for Italian Media, Society, and Culture.
After graduating, he worked for Telemundo Washington D.C. as an executive assistant for the news station general manager. He then moved to Bona Smarts LLC, an international investment and development consultancy firm. Fuentes used his communication skills to excel during his time at Bona Smarts LLC. Currently, he works for Fuentes-Fernández Consulting, LLC, assisting with several development projects in Puerto Rico.
Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Fuentes lived in his hometown until he was 18. After high school, he moved to Arlington, Virginia seeking better opportunities.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, going to concerts, and travelling around the world.
