During the final years of his undergraduate career at George Mason University (GMU) Christian Reid pursued a degree in Communication with a Concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Business.
Upon completing his coursework and getting his Bachelor’s in Spring of 2017, he used his expertise to land a postseason job with the Washington Nationals Baseball team in Washington D.C. creating media kits for the press. He also spent time working for Apple before moving to New York City for a couple of years to work with clients like Adobe, American Express, J.P. Morgan, Uber and West Elm through a recruiting agency. Parlaying his communication and recruiting experience Christian would go on to work at Discovery where he would curate content for social media channels across global business units, lead several brand engagement initiatives and support talent acquisition in the highly competitive Seattle market.
Currently Christian is using skills learned through his undergraduate coursework in a new role on the Talent Acquisition team at Spotify, where he partners with internal employees and external candidates for strategic conversations around business critical hiring initiatives.
In his free time Christian also serves as a Teach English Foreign Language (TEFL) Instructor for students hoping to practice and learn English both conversationally and for business purposes.
