Christine Blake is a Vice President at W2 Communications leading the strategic communication programs of top cybersecurity and technology companies. She is also the executive producer and host of the “Inside the Media Minds” podcast, a W2 Communications production that takes listeners inside the mind of a technology reporter.
There is never a dull moment in PR, but especially in cybersecurity as we continue to see cyberattacks impact daily life. Throughout her 10 year career, she’s learned the importance of watching news cycles closely and leveraging key media relationships to build awareness for clients and key issues. One of the most rewarding aspects of her career is managing/mentoring and training others, especially newer employees as they learn the nuance of strategic communications.
After graduating in 2011, Christine first got into the tech space by working at a Hosted VoIP provider where she led new business while creating brand/product awareness. She also took advantage of the great internship programs at GMU which propelled her career as she experienced community relations for two of the largest transportation projects in the country – the 495 Express Lanes and the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project.
As the host of “Inside the Media Minds” she interviews today’s top reporters to find out everything from their writing rituals to their favorite stories and give you a behind the scenes look at the person behind the byline.
