Melissa Gotleib graduated from George Mason University (GMU) in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a concentration in Journalism. While at Mason, Melissa was a marketing intern for the Center for Global Education (now Mason Study Abroad) and participated in a psychology study abroad program in Rome. She was a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Honor Society, the Order of Omega FSL Honor Society, and was part of Mason’s Emerging Leaders Program.
Right after graduation, Melissa worked on a USA Today initiative called “Your Take,” a visually-driven project that revolved around user-contributed photos and stories. Soon after, Melissa accepted her first full-time job as a content editor at Rare, a Cox Media Group digital startup.
Melissa then decided to move to the Big Apple, and became a Community Manager for Ads of the World, a partner of the Clio Awards. Some of her favorite memories were helping to capture live social media coverage at three award shows. (At #Clio 60, she even got to meet Andy Cohen!) Melissa is currently a Global Communications Associate at TBWA, a global advertising agency, whose main headquarters are in Manhattan.
Melissa enjoys long beach days at the Jersey shore, spontaneous adventures and a good pun.
