Samantha Chavez received her communication degree in 2017 with a concentration in public relations. Chavez is the Associate Director of Programs and Services at the Army Historical Foundation.
She accepted her position with the foundation two months after graduating and believes the skills she learned throughout her time at Mason helped land the position. She oversees the direct mail fundraising and sponsorship programs that drive the campaign for the National Museum of the United States Army. Chavez’s most recent accomplishment is the launch of the brick locator that will help donors find their commemorative bricks along the pathways that lead to the museum.
She has a passion for nonprofits and has aspirations to continue to grow within the industry.
