Lottye Lockhart has always been in the storytelling business. Currently, she curates content for social media channels at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), where she has earned a Pillar Award for confidence within her first year of employment.
As an undergraduate, Lockhart was an intern under the Obama administration, replying to constituents' letters and nominating several healthcare related letters and emails to be read by the president.
After graduating from George Mason University, Lockhart took advantage of her opportunity to travel in Europe and decide what to do next in the field of communication. From the summer of 2018 until May of 2020, she was a journalist at WVIR in downtown Charlottesville. While there, she earned a promotion to become anchor and producer of sunrise weekend shows, gathering ratings that rivaled the 5 and 6 p.m. broadcasts.
