2013 #MasonCOMM Alum Julie Johnson Palmer

#MasonCOMM Alum, Julie Palmer Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2013 with a double major in Government and Interpersonal & Organizational Communication. Being involved in the Department of Communication was an impactful part of her college experience - she was a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Honor Society, and served as Dr. Catherine Wright's teaching assistant.

Upon graduating, Johnson pursued her Master’s in College Student Personnel at Bowling Green State University. In 2015, she accepted her first full-time job at the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. After four rewarding years of working in student and young alumni programming, she had an incredible opportunity to take on a Research Associate position with Parker Executive Search, a leading global retained executive search firm that specializes in recruiting senior-level leaders in higher education, academic health sciences and healthcare, and college athletics.

In her daily life, she constantly uses the skills she learned throughout her time at Mason, and truly believes majoring in Communication helped mold her into the person she is today!
