Mason COMM Students at VACAS 2019

Mason COMM Students at VACAS 2019

Earlier this semester, four Communication majors--Kier Askew, Tifara Davis, Phanida Langer, and Melanie Miller--presented their media criticism papers at VACAS 2019, the annual conference of the Virginia Association of Communication Arts and Sciences, held this year at Radford University last March.

The panel, chaired by Dr. Tim Gibson, was titled "Cultural Politics and Popular Culture: A Media Criticism Showcase."

The students all did a terrific job talking about their papers with a packed audience!

VACAS -- an excellent venue for showcasing undergraduate research and critical analysis--returns to George Mason University in Spring 2020, with the theme of "communication and identity." Stay tuned for more details!
