Lauren LeBoeuf is a senior studying interpersonal and organization communication with a minor in tourism & events management. She currently works for Hilton Hotel’s Global Headquarters office in McLean as their coordinator for multicultural and diversity relations. Hilton is a leader in the hospitality industry, managing and franchising a 15-brand portfolio of hotels and resorts. In her role, Lauren is strengthening her corporate communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Some of her responsibilities include:
- leverage Hilton’s diversity work through internal communication platforms
- lead meetings with partners
- process, code, and stamp invoices
- create presentations to highlight key diversity engagements in media and with external organizations
Lauren has been exposed to the cross-functionality of the communication and marketing teams within a large organization. She has greatly enhanced her skills in the corporate world engaging with multiple facets of the corporation and experiencing various events hosted by Hilton. She looks forward to applying these skills to her course work, as president of Lambda Pi Eta, the GMU National Communication Honor Society organization, and to her employment upon graduation.
