The annual Communication Career Fair is sponsored by the University’s Communication Department and organized by the local chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America. The career fair will be on Tuesday March 19, 2019 from 9:30am to 1:00pm. There will be free food and drink. Please also note that this event is free to both employers and students!
This annual event is a great opportunity for students and employers to network. Companies from the public relations, marketing, advertising, media production and journalism sectors have attended. Previous years’ participants have included Focused Image, Edelman DC, MediaDC, Washington Wizards, Northern Virginia Magazine, and many more great companies.
Both employers and students interested in participating are invited to contact the Department of Communication for more information.
Students must dress professionally – and are encouraged to bring several copies of their resumes or business cards.
In addition to researching companies prior to the career fair, students are advised to consult in advance with University Career Services for advice on basic networking and interviewing skills, and guidance in tailoring resumes and cover letters to specific job postings.
