Syahgena (Gigin) St. Onge is a doctoral student and an instructor in the Communication Department at George Mason University. Prior to joining Mason, she worked as a development and education specialist for various national, bilateral, and multilateral organizations. She has developed and managed diverse portfolios of bilateral relations, gender and development, and research and education programs in Southeast Asia and the United States. She served on several US-Indonesia grant committees for education and legislative exchange programs. She has conducted wide-ranging research projects for University of Indonesia, the International Organization for Migration, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the World Bank. She taught Math and Economics at the University of Indonesia, and Malay language at Denmark's Business Academy Southwest.
