Applicants are encouraged to share special circumstances, personal stories, or any other connections that demonstrate why and how the student will benefit from the Italian Media, Society, and Culture in Milan, Italy and the scholarship award.
The scholarship is given In memory of KK Brady. KK Brady was a star athlete and loving person. She played soccer at George Mason University and had a great desire to travel the world. KK's experiences and friendships made while on the study abroad program were instrumental in influencing the amazing things she set forth to do in life. In Milan she embraced the full experience of her study abroad. She balanced fun, play, work and study. The friends she went with and the ones she made while there were all positively affected by her sunny personality and her melodic laughter. After college, KK was living her dream as a young entrepreneur.
“Here Megan and I sit next to the Duomo di Milano, a landmark. Surrounding the cathedral lives endless shopping and gelato. I saw the Duomo in the heat, lit up at night, and I even climbed to the top and saw Italian life from above. Living in Milan for a month was the experience of a lifetime.“ --KK
