Development of print journalism, emphasizing interaction of technology, audience, and government intervention. Topics include birth of press, development of modern newspaper, and American development including Revolutionary and Civil wars, rise of independent press, and yellow journalism. Limited to three attempts.
Recommended Prerequisite: 3 hours of COMM or HIST.
