-Corporate Communications-Intern

-The Corporate Communications Intern will be responsible for creating and managing content that supports K12’s public relations efforts. We’re looking for someone who is adept at writing and is capable of supporting the communication team to showcase students, families, teachers, employees and schools that participate in online education programs with K12.

-The experience will be very hands-on and the successful candidate will: Assist in planning, writing, and managing weekly internal newsletter. Assist in writing for K12’s corporate blog. Update company intranet site when needed. Assist communications team with project management, analysis and reporting. Assist the team with day-to-day administrative and operational duties as assigned. Liase with video team to produce weekly vignettes for internal newsletter.

-Requirements: Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. Must have completed or are working towards a college degree in Communications, English or another relevant field. Must have strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills. Must have strong interpersonal skills, and builds relationships across the organization. Must be self-motivated, have good organizational skills, detail-oriented, have the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines, have strong creativity, have project management skills, and unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity, and trust.

-Full time position for summer 2017. EDENS is one of the leading retail real estate developers and owners in the nation. The marketing team is looking for a design intern for the Bethesda studio in the summer of 2017. The Design Intern will work with the marketing & design team on various projects ranging from print design and production to web/digital content & photography. This position will also interface with other departments throughout EDENS in supporting graphic needs as they arise.

-Responsibilities: Aid in regular changes and updates to existing collateral for leasing and development departments. Process, edit and upload photography to digital image library. Collaborate with and assist the design team on various projects as needed. Assist with print production on in-house digital press and finishing/binding equipment. Help with graphics and formatting for PowerPoint presentations as needed.

-Qualifications: Working toward a BA in Graphic Design or related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a must (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Experience in MS Office Suite. Experience in design, layout and typography. Exhibit enthusiasm, energy, and creativity. A positive attitude and the ability to work independently and multi-task. Responsible, dependable and well organized. Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction as well as in collaboration with others that my not always be designers. Photography and photo editing/processing is a plus. Experience in interactive and web design is a plus. Experience in print production is a plus.
