Amy Busch

Amy Busch not only excelled in the classroom, she pursued research opportunities and community service.

She teamed up with a fellow graduate student to start a research project examining the effects of new FDA graphic warning labels on cigarette packages. In addition, she traveled to Merida, Mexico to conduct a research project investigating how Mexican mothers communicate with their children about food. Both research projects were accepted for presentation at the annual National Communication Association Conference.

Amy was the Global Health Fellows Youth Program Strengthening Intern at the United States Agency for International Development. Also, she was the secretary for the Communication Graduate Student Association.

Her volunteer activities were more than notable, and she spent nine months at an HIV/AIDS clinic in Mexico.

For her accomplishments as a master's student, Amy received a Dean's Challenge Fellowship for 2012-2013.
