Marianne L. Palmisano is an Instructor in the Communication Department at George Mason University. As an alumna of GMU, she is proud to return to her alma matter as a faculty member teaching both basic and upper level courses. Before heading to the University of Alabama to complete her Graduate education in Communication Studies, Professor Palmisano was a two-year Captain of the GMU Forensics Team. During her competitive Forensics years, she was awarded over 200 public speaking honors, inducted into the National All-American Forensics Team, and awarded the GMU Women in Communication scholarship. After many years of successful teaching and coaching in other states, Professor Palmisano has returned to her native area to continue her teaching career which focuses on undergraduate scholarship. Professor Palmisano's areas of professional interest and expertise include: Public Communication, Rhetorical Analysis, Intercultural Communication, and Interpersonal Communication.
