Organizations Associated with the Department of Communication
Employers look for those whose college career demonstrates they have “gone
the extra mile.” Statistics from employers show the importance of participation
in co-curricular activities. The Communication Department prepares students
for careers through coursework and through specific student activities such:

Student Video Center: 1011 David King Hall is a multidisciplinary
space for students in Communication, AVT, English, College of
Visual and Performing Arts and departments where students
create video productions for classes. Mason Cable Network and
GMView, the video yearbook, are associated with the Student Video
Center. The facility includes a studio and a small final cut pro
editing suite for students to use as they create course projects. For
