Beth Jannery, director of the journalism program, will host a Q&A with documentarian Samantha Grant via Skype in the Johnson Center Cinema on April 30. Film and Media Studies will screen Grant's film A Fragile Trust, which tells the story of infamous plagiarist, Jayson Blair. A former reporter for The New York Times, Blair wrote many forged stories and won multiple Pulitzers before his exposure in 2003. Jannery will assist the discussion with Grant about this historic anecdote of journalism and offer insight into questions of ethical responsibility posed in the film.
