>Summer 2017 Congressional Internship
-The Office of Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) seeks paid interns for his office in Washington, DC for the 2017 summer semester.
-Deadline for applications if April 15th

>The Steve Jansen Campaign for Virginia House of Delegates in the 13th District
-The Steve Jansen campaign is looking for interns this summer and this fall to join the team leading up to the 2017 election. The campaign is seeking motivated, dedicated individuals who want to learn the inner workings of a political campaign and ground-game.
-Hours are flexible. Interns will be responsible for creating meaningful relationships and having persuasive conversations with our voters at the doorstep and over the phone. This program will teach you about what goes into creating a grassroots field program, successfully running a GOTV (Get-Out-the-Vote) operation, and allow you to meet friends and professional contacts that will last a lifetime.
-The Jansen Campaign Internship Program is designed to be an educational and informative opportunity, providing an entry-level launching point for future careers in politics. Program participants will engage with voters in their communities, learn from and work directly with experienced campaign staff, and hear from a number of guest speakers.
-Web Master, Writer, Photographer needed for Private School
-We are seeking either an undergraduate or a graduate student in Writing, Marketing, or Communications who is 100% proficient in WordPress and HTML and has superior grammar skills to work with us on site. We are located near Reston, VA and are about a 15-minute drive from GMU's campus. We need this person to arrange (or do himself/herself) the filming for our site, and who can do the photography or arrange for student photographers. In other words, we need HELP!
-Hours: immediately, but at least 3 - 6 hours per week
-This person must be well groomed and well spoken, and be able to interview students, families, and our professors. We look to eventually do a film, and would love to have this person interface with the newspapers to write our news releases, and do blogs. The main issue is that this person needs to come on-site for at least 3-6 hours per week and preferably Fridays, but we are 100% willing to work around your classes and finals. -The Analyst/Technical Writer is responsible for managing all corporate technical documentation and expected to provide OSINT support on a variety of research-based tasks.
-Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct open source research and analysis to identify information gaps and potential cyber threats using various analytical methodologies and intelligence systems. Evaluate the relevance and accuracy of gathered information to produce multi-source intelligence packages. Create and actively update all technical documentation to include user guides, test plans and procedures, marketing material, training material, and customized report templates. Perform front end software testing/analysis as needed. Prepare and occasionally conduct product demonstrations for potential clients.
-Education: Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Communication, English, and Journalism preferred but 1-3 years of experience is acceptable.
-Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products and InDesign. Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills. Experience as a technical writer for hardware and/or software documentation. Ability to operate in a multi-tasking and fast-paced environment. Experience using Camtasia or other video editing software is a plus.
-Desired Skills: Strong research and analytical skills.

-PBS NewsHour is looking for a Production Assistant, Media Assets (PA) to work with the Media Assets team, performing a variety of tasks related to the management and archiving of PBS NewsHour media assets (both digital and tape) and support for the production work of thePBS NewsHour. The PA exercises independent judgment and collaborates with producers, technicians and other members of the PBS NewsHour organization, for the daily broadcast and online content.
-Primary responsibilities include assisting and monitoring footage for the PBS NewsHour. Media Management system, entering data into the legacy Library archival database, and researching and fulfilling video requests for producers. Further, the PA will edit and duplicate video for clients, guests, and others, as necessary, using editing programs, such as Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. Additionally, they will provide production assistance, and assist in curation of incoming footage; including field footage, outside-sourced footage and Newssource footage from providers including APTN, Reuters, ITN and ABC NewsOne.
-Qualified applicants will have Bachelors in journalism, or related field, and one (1) year of experience with Media Asset Management Systems. In addition, they will have some experience with broadcast and online journalism, and experience with Avid Composer, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
